The gas tank skid plates for the Forester and Forester Wilderness are a much-needed upgrade from the flimsy stock plastic Subaru OEM skid plates. The high-strength aluminum skid plates protect the Outback’s gas tanks from rocks, stumps, and unforeseen off-road debris.
The skid plate design is a simple bolt-on install offering more coverage and protection than the OEM Subaru skid plates. Just like our engine and transmission skid plates, these gas tank skids provide little to no loss in ground clearance when installed.

Basic hand tools required. Possible other tools needed (e.g. grease gun, trim removal tools, pry bars, jack, jackstands, etc). May require light assembly. Basic mechanical knowledge needed to install.
I purchased a Bumper Bar for my new Subaru Outback Wilderness from the Adventure Rig Shop. The Bumper Bar arrived within days, extremely well packaged. The installation was very straightforward. It only took me a few minutes (although I needed a trip to the hardware store for the right sized socket and a longer extension than I had on hand).. The Bumper Bar itself is very well made and looks great on my Subaru OB Wilderness. The primary purpose of my purchase was to install some off-road lighting and to have a point of attachment for securing my kayaks when up on the roof. Tanks Adventure Rig Shop!
I bought the ARB compressor for my outback and it doesnt work.
To return it i was told to send a video of it NOT working... i asked what specifically needs to be shown in the video and never got a reply. Now its been too long to return it... so a 600 dollar paperweight later and ill never recommend this site to anyone again.
Just awful.
They work and are easy to install. I wish the holes for the light mounts were not so large though. A lot of extra play between the bolt and the hole. I need to get some larger washers to cut down on the vibrations.
